I was recently in Italy. I visited Rome, Florence and Venice and I had the most delicious vegetables I have ever had. I am not a big veggie eater but these were wonderful. Does anyone know what seasonings they use?

Also I am looking for a Tuscan souo recipe.

Thanks all.

Hi Lois,

Benvenuti to the forum.

Italian spices tend to have dried basil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, rosemary and thyme.

One thing to keep in mind, they tend not to use as many preservatives, etc. in their foods. And Italian soil is very fertile. I know what you mean in that food seems to taste better over there for some reason.

They also shop for the same day. My aunt will walk to the grocery store and pick up bread that was baked that morning, fish that was brought in that morning, fresh fruits, vegetables, etc.

Take care
Larry
